Welcome to Busy Mommas Nook! 🎉

Hi, I’m Megan — homeschool mom, creator, blogger, and the slightly chaotic human behind Busy Momma’s Nook.

What started as a creative outlet slowly turned into a space where I could share the projects, hobbies, experiments, and hands-on learning adventures our family genuinely enjoys.

These days, you’ll usually find me:

  • experimenting with beginner-friendly 3D printing

  • creating homeschool projects and STEM activities

  • designing bookmarks, keychains, and spooky-cute creations

  • exploring creative hobbies with my family

  • turning peaceful chaos into blog posts and tutorials

I’m not an engineer. I’m not a professional designer. And honestly? I think that’s what makes this space

approachable.

 

Busy Momma’s Nook was built for:

  • overwhelmed moms trying new things

  • people who want to create without feeling intimidated

 

One of the biggest things I’ve learned through 3D printing is that you do NOT need to be super technical to start making amazing things.

 

Our family uses 3D printing for:

  • homeschool projects

  • STEM learning

  • creative expression

  • hands-on activities

  • organization tools

  • fun collectibles

  • and honestly… a little bit of everything.

 

I especially love using Bambu Lab printers because they made 3D printing feel accessible and beginner-friendly from the start. We also spend a lot of time exploring MakerWorld for free STL files, educational prints, and inspiration for new projects.

 

Alongside Busy Momma’s Nook, I also run Layered Loot — our creative maker brand where we share 3D printed projects, uploads, bookmarks, spooky-cute creations, and other chaotic little ideas.

 

At the heart of it all, this blog is about making creativity feel approachable.

I want families to feel encouraged to:

  • try new hobbies

  • explore technology creatively

  • learn together

  • make mistakes

  • experiment freely

  • and embrace the peaceful chaos that comes with creating.
